![]() Only DLC reels can be repaired when they are broken. If you break a reel that was bought with the in game currency in the in-game shop, it can not be repaired. ![]() Doing so and setting your drag to your line weight there is a high probability that you will break your reel. You should never ever use a line weight that is over the maximum for the reel. So it all really comes down to, do you want to save some money and stay out of the yellow and most likely do no damage to your reel, or is it profitable to accept those repair cost for the damaged reels and set your drag settings to be in the yellow. I don't even know if the devs would be willing to give up this information.Įach trip to a lake usually is about 5+ days if you're wanting to make any kind of profit. This range can not be held within a range of drag to calculate the amount of damage. I'm pretty sure each shade of yellow pertains to a certain percentage of damage. On the reels there are different shades of yellow. The amount of damage the reel is taking when fishing with the drag setting in the yellow can't be calculated on our end as their are a lot of variables. If you are using a line weight that is over the maximum line weight for the reel, then you are going to break your reel. The red settings will snap your line as long as you are not using a higher line weight then the reels maximum line weight. The yellow setting can and will increase the damage that is applied to your reel dependent on fish size and the amount of tension the fish puts on the line. But I'm sure even you yourself have watched numerous people break their line while you've been fishing.Īs for the settings that we have marked in yellow and red on the sheet. Thanks for clarifying, if someone would do so.ĭrag reel tension numbers may not be useful to everybody out there. Sorry to sound dumb, but my question is really a serious one, as to me it seems I'm missing something very important, if you guys did put so much effort on this. So while I applaud the great work, I tend to still really not get why it's usefull. If not, then why would I need to know the exact tension applied to what drag setting if I by no mean will need to use directly to it's max possible safe drag force ? I ask that because basically I can simply apply along my reeling the tension needed to get the fish. Is that method have a negative impact on my fishing results ? (earlyer on my gameplay I tend to use it to the right max drag possible though) I personally still use a setting at 1/3 of the line resistance, and then apply more drag as soon as I have a bite. While I also do understand the use of "knowing" what drag setting cause what tension, what is the impact in game to use it directly to max possible setting that will not break the line ? SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT TO THE FOLLOWING FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE::ītw, I totally forgot to put that in there.Ĭan I follow with a question ? (and obviously I will lol) Any help to add to this is much appreciated, as this is for everybody If you have any DLC reel that we may not have listed, please feel free to post the reel name, maximum drag weight, minimum and maximum line weight, and how many drag settings there are. But we decided to release this page so the players can view and know where they might need to set their drag to the fishing line for the best outcome in catching a fish. All DLC reels are still in the process of being added daily. Well, now there is a page which shows exactly how much drag tension is applied through each drag setting for each reel in the game and can be easily read and understood.Īll of the in game reels are on this sheet. Through trial and error many have set their drag. ![]() From day one, myself and many others have either broken line or broken their reel.
